Social Finance Institute Japan (SFIJ) is an independent research institute of "social finance".
About "Social Finance" and Our Services:
We define "social finance" as financial services that reduce and soothe harmful effects of financial exclusion beard from "infor-mation asymmetry", "transaction cost", "economy of scale" and over-pursuit of efficiency.
Examples of "social finance" are "microfinance", "CDFIs (community development financial institutions)" in U.S.A. and U.K., and "social banks" in Europe.

About Our President/Founder
Kouichi Karaki, Ph.D (from Hitotsubashi Univ., 2005.03)
After 12 years woking for a Japanese Mega-Bank, he started studying business administration, "business and society", sociology and finance at the graduate school of Hitotsubashi University, and got doctoral degree.
Then he lectured about "non-profits","social business",
"business and society", "manegement strategies", etc. at several universities.
And he founded SFIJ in 2009.
